Change

Author: Ryan Bozeman

View of a starry night sky through evergreen tree tops

Treading,

Heading on a course south of north

gnawing on the marrow

of a harrowing rebirth

Shedding,

Molt and rot and curious reward

hewing every cord

as if my last before the storm

Threading,

Heavy on the levied luck and stars

wooing white-oaked lore

toward new old-fashioned shores

Ryan is a newly arrived resident of Black Mountain, NC. Ever-fascinated with the craft and expression of poetry, his main artistic drive is collaborating with poets from across the country  to create music and soundtracks around their original pieces under the pseudonym of brotherwell. This poem represents a departure from his normal output in a desire to be the poet himself for a change.
